While some visitors have noted that certain dishes, like salads or dressings, might not fully meet expectations, the overall culinary experience remains solid. The pub’s attention to detail in food presentation and its homely ambiance compensate for minor shortcomings, contributing to a space that feels lived-in yet comfortable and inviting.

We've always wanted to try this restaurant, even though the location is odd and the outside vibes were not compelling. "Where oh where can we find really good fish and chips", we've asked ourselves since we moved here. We thought a British Pub would do it. Husband ordered Fish and chips and I ordered a salad.. the fish was ok, not remarkable. The fries were very good and the cole slaw was good too. The entree salad was not too my liking. It may have been better with a different dressing. I suppose I was betting on that fact, as I brought most of it home with me. The ham and turkey were in spirals and made up of what I would swear was a packaged meat. Not bad, but, I could have done this at home. It was disappointing. I gave my husband half, and I tried to eat a third? The dressing had a distinct preservative flavor that I found unpleasant. I asked for ranch and blue on the side. They seemed identical. I asked the waitress if there was, in fact, a blue cheese option on my plate. She was sweet and got me another little bit of.. blue? Not one of those little cups tasted different from the other. They all had that tangy after-taste that reminded me of a generic bottled dressing. I asked if I could have a roll or?? She brought out a small loaf of 4 slices - soda bread? and one tiny foil wrapped butter. Not sure what the bread was, but it was the highlight of my lunch. The ambiance was a bit lived in, but it felt cozy. The staff were wonderfully friendly and the presentation of the food superb. While husband "liked" the fish, we are still on the hunt. Me? I haven't found spectacular blue cheese dressing either.. at least not yet, but there are still many a restaurant in Bluffton to try.

Food was amazing! Came out to the table hot and fresh. We ate the prime rib and fish and chips. I feel that our server could have checked on us a bit better as our drinks ran low. Great overall though.

We stumbled on this gem of a restaurant while looking for places to eat lunch while at Sam's club and I'm so glad we tried this place! The server was super friendly with great customer service.. the food was phenomenal.. I've never had grits that tasty and the bananas foster French toast was amazing! This has been added to our top 5 restaurants while visiting HHI.. Keep up the great work!

What an incredible find! This really is a Pub, or Public House, because there are daily/nightly patrons who know and love one another, and they will make you feel like part of the family! Sliced Beef Wellington & blue cheese appetizer was a perfect start. Reuben on marbled rye was delicious. Great beers on tap. Lovely, friendly staff. A++ all around.

This is our favorite reataurant on the island. We go several times each trip. Both locations are owned by the same owner and he takes great pride in his food and service. My favorite is the Royal Birkshire and Mushroom Pie. They bring it to your table and pour it hot over your plate in front of you. So delightful! Everything we've always ordered has been splendid.
